The Chicago Knights

The Chicago Knights 1739 is a community based FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) team that's been around for quite a while and is also where I got my start in robotics. I have now returned to the Chicago Knights as an alumni mentor in hopes of giving students a chance to experience and learn things they would not have been able to under normal circumstances.

LevelUp!

LevelUp! is a makerspace unlike any other! To start, LevelUp! is free of charge and it caters to mostly to teenagers inside of FordCity mall. This is a great place to let your imagination run free while creating something new; whether it be software or hardware. LevelUp! focuses on teaching and is a great venue to drop in and learn how to put something together. LevelUp! is also a GirlsWhoCode location.

Chicago SouthSide Mini Makerfaire

The Chicago Southside mini Makerfaire is an annual event worth checking out. There's always great Makers who come to show off fantastic creations in an area that hasn't always got the same attention for those who love to make.
